Hello, we are Rachel and Frank Foster, and we run Feral Fields. We are proud to raise GOSA registered GOS in the state of Kansas. We first started raising pigs to minimize our dependance on commercial systems of meat production, but we quickly realized that we loved having them around and became interested in proliferating uncommon or rare breeds. We chose this heritage breed because they are beautiful, docile, great mothers, and they are easy on fences. They don't root as much as commercial breeds, and their meat is delicious too. They are considered a lard pig, but don't pack it on like a Kunekune or American Guinea Hog. When you buy breeding stock from us, you are helping to preserve the genetic diversity of a wonderful heritage breed that we believe is the perfect breed for small farms.
